clambistro: Best caption/photo combination from one of the most bloodcurdling stories of the week. I worked onboard various Carnival ships for nearly 5 years. All I can think of is the poor crew members who are having to go through the same shit as the passengers AND try to help the passengers at the same time. And probably cop a shitload of abuse because CCL’s head office are a bunch of buck-passing shitstains. And, because this ship is doing one of my old runs (out of Galveston*), I will tell you that I do not remember that passenger demographic very fondly at all. Lots of racist yee-haw redneck assholes. Funny, just the other day I was thinking back on my CCL days quite fondly. Thanks for the reminder, universe. Fuck you, nostalgia. *I do, however, remember the lovely city of Galveston and it’s residents quite fondly. It’s not their fault they’re a cruise ship port.
