The song that never ends and other Childrens programs.
I grew up in a small town in central California. We may not have snow, ice, tornadoes, hurricanes or floods to battle but the winter does bring very heavy fog that can last a few hours or a week. The fog can be so bad that at times school was delayed in it’s start and at time bus service was all together cancelled.
As a school age child I was more than happy to wake up early in the morning and turn on PBS and gleefully read the scrolling info bar across the bottom of the screen that would tell us which school districts were on Foggy Day Schedules as well has how severe that schedule would be.
Having PBS on meant I saw a lot of Mr. Rogers and Lambchop and Friends as well as other fine children’s programming.
No way, dude. I remember watching way more of that old hippie broad doing yoga while the foggy day schedules scrolled across her flabby yet extremely flexible body. And please note, folks - this was 80s yoga. Not the sexy Lululemon fashion-yoga of today.
